his is a really good book about a girl called Anna who lives in Grange Hall (an orphanage) she was sent there when she was 2 an has lived there all her life. One day a boy called Peter arrives and tells her that her parents are looking for her, and they are not dead like she thought!. Anna is not sure if she should beleive Peter or not .............................
i would give this book 8/10

WAR HORSE

war horse i a really great book about a young horse called joey who was sent off to the army to raise the family a bit of money, Albert,  the horses 16 year old owner wanted to join the army to help him but he was too young.
Joey had me another horse called topthorn who rode alongside him in battle, after a year or two joey and topthorn stopped working as cavalry and started working as farm horses on the local french farms and then not too long after that they werent even needed for that either and they were taken by a young girl called emilie and her grandfather and were needed for nothing.  one year later a group of germans came along and said that they needed them to transport the guns around and after short farewells they working again twice as hard as before. an old man named "Friedrich",  who was very fond of topthorn, was walking them up to the front line of the war every day and one day "topthorn"  joeys friend wasnt as jolly as usuall and was tripping over every root and falling in every pot hole  until after a while he fello over and didnt get up, joey was knocking him to get hip up but he wouldnt. he was dead,  Friedrich was very upset and him and joey stayed for as long as they could until they heard the rattling of machine guns and banging of rifles getting louder and louder and then saw a tank heading straight for them which mad joey run, after about half a mile of hard galloping he turned around, which was  his mistake, there were now 3 or 4 tanks all heading straight for him and then he galloped again and didnt turn back.  he found himself lost quite quickly and ended up in the trenches with the germans on one side and the english on the other,  he was quickly taken by a welshman and taken to the vets to get his cut sorted out by albert, his old owner,  joey knew and tried to tell albert but after five or so minutes he realised it was him.
joey was unwell and needed sorting out,  the vet  did all he could and albert and his freind "david" did all they could and they got him better.
the war soon ended and the men were to go back to england by boat and sadly the horses were to be auctioned in france,  the horses were groomed and washed for the sell day,
joey was one of the last to be auctioned and he was about to go to  a twiggy, scrawny, spotty middle aged man when emilies grandfather came in and beat him on the auction,  albert talked to him and the old man said to him, "i'll make you a deal , you give me one english penny and promise me to look after old joey and i'll give you the horse."
the next morning albert and joey rode into their home village met by all their family and  "maisie" alberts girlfreind.

Charlie Higson.
Silverfin is about a boy called James Bond. He is a young spy. He heard about a death in Scotland, so he heads up and ends up staying in a large old castle. He soon finds out how the boy dies and gets tangled up in the mystery himself. 8/10.  O.S

The Enemy -Charlie Higson

We start the book with a group of kids on a food scavenger hunt because all the over fourteens have got a illness that makes them go crazy and makes them want to eat other humans. Later in the book a child comes and tells the group of kids to come to Buckingham Palace because it is safe and clean with a good leader so the kids set off on this mission across London were the grown ups are everywhere out to get them they get there and everything changes.  8/10



A great read not for people who have nightmares !

The Head Is Dead

The Head is Dead is a horror story about a girl called Poppy Fields who finds herself investigating a murder. Mrs King isn't the most popular teacher at St Andrews school but when she tells Poppy and her friend Graham to plan a murder mystery trail game at the spring fayre it all goes horribly, horribly wrong.......and THE HEAD IS DEAD!
I would give this book a 9/10 i thoroughly enjoyed it :D

This fantastic novel by Charlie Higson is the last ( 4th ) book in the Young Bond Series. It is about the young James Bond who has to flee from Britain away all over Europe from the British Secret Service with a wanted girl whom he loves. Inside this book James Bond saves King George and the Royal Family but without anyone knowing except the assasins who tried to assasinate the King and MI6. In this lip-biting novel of suspician and lies, James Bond falls into the world of spies, murder, truths, secrets and lies James has to deal with mass murders and dreamers of conquering the world. Then finally James meets his greatest surprise of them all...........a man who wants to skin him ALIVE!

Rated by me 10/10 a must read and hard book to put down.

Diary of a wimpy kid is a comedy about a boy called Greg Heffley and his best frend Rowley. He has two brothers called Manny and Rodrick. Manny (Gregs yonger brother) is spoilt and always gets his way. Rodrick (Gregs older brother) is always geting them both into trouble. This book is a movie as well so after you have read it you can watch it on the big screen.

This is an action packed novel which you won't be able to put down 10/10

Angels and Demons is a great book which is spooky. The 4 of the main characters objective is to find the person who is killing all these people. they are 4 points and they find out all the points are at North East South and West. I would recommend this book and i would give it 8/10.

this a story of an ordinary boy. except that he lives in a sprawling grave yard , and his adoptive parents are ghosts, and....etc. so he's not normal. he has many adventures, from ghouls to schools (ha! a rhyme. i must be a poet). but soon he must confront the man (or men...) who forced him to live in the graveyard in the first place,  who killed his family, who want to kill him. its a great book,  by neil gaimon. kiwi

Chris Ryan- The One That Got Away

This book is fantastic. I have some of his later books and although they're good this is better because I know that the story is true. The beginning is a bit slow but then on the chapter "Stand by Stand by Go!" it gets better

In this book Chris Ryan gets sent behind enemy lines and everything they have been given is the wrong equipment. They were given the wrong radio frequencies. Also the desert is a lot colder than they thought so they have to fight for survival. Chris Ryan ends up on his own and has to walk for 7 nights because he had an enemy contact and has to get to the Syrian border.   

I give this book a 10/10 it's great

Chris Ryan Battle Ground

Battle Ground is a book about a boy called Ben Tracey and his mum goes to Pakistan for an exgange to a family who have a daughter called Aarya his mum goes as a nurse at the SAS. They went to school together and she got bullied. So Ben follows the bullies to there house and end up capturing them and taking them on a long car journey. The SAS capture Ben back but the Taliban have got Aarya. Ben ends up with some other soilders ambushing their leader, but it was to late as the leader to Aarya and a nuclear bomb with then to plant at a dam. The SAS send Ben to defuse the bomb through a small narrow path on the edge of a clif. Ben finds Aarya next to the bomb knocked out by the heat and defuses it with seconds to spare. The SAS call in a helicopter and takes them to saftey.                                     J.H

Holes is a good book.There is a boy called stanley yelnats and he goes to a dessert for stealing some shoes.
he goes to the dessert and meets zero, x-ray, armpit, magnit, zigzag. horrible women who is really harsh.
they have to dig every day and have to dig a whole the depth of their shovel.

holes is a great book about a young boy called stanley who gets sent to a desert for a crime he didnt even commit.
he and about 20 other boys are forced to dig holes five feet deep and five feet wide , one everyday.
and when the whole desert is full, they have to fill them all back up again. him and a boy called "zero" run away and climb up a massive mountain finding fresh onions they could eat all day and freshly flowing water from an everlasting river...

This book is very exciting and thrilling. It is about the young James Bond being chased around the poisonous jungles of Mexico by some world class bandits. Trying to save and help the two children - Precious and JJ.
Eventually they chase the criminals to a small island in the Carribean called Lagrimas Negras.

Set in the second world war Rusty who was evacuated to America when she was 7 returns 5 years later to find a country and family she doesn't like or understand. Later on her mum sends her to an english boarding school and the story gets better and better. If you have read Goodnight Mister Tom you will really like this.

Shrinking Ralph Perfect

There was once a boy called Ralph and he lived with his mum. Ralph loved insects and bugs like ants. One day he finds out that a new weird neighbour moves in on the street. Jack Bilt. Ralph soon finds out that Jack has got hold of a minitureing device. He investigates but he doesn't know what's coming when he gets shrunk.
I would give this book a 9/10. It is a great book :D .

the story of a team of commandoes go to the antartic to secure a possible UFO. fast-pace action, and not for the weak-hearted ( a good guy gets eaten by a killer whale and a bad guy gets run over by a snow mobile). first in a series of three, all adrelin rushes. good story line, better than most. 10/10 (no joke). i really like this book

Artemis Fowl

  This is a book about a twelve year old boy genius who has discovered the existence of fairys. however the faries are extremly technologicaly advanced thanks to the centaur Foaly.(There are different speices of fairy;elves,pixies,sprits,centaurs,gnomes,dwarves,goblins,trolls and demons.)Artemis captures the elf Holly Short, a Lower Elements Police recon fairy(L.E.Precon) who was on an investigation. The L.E.P assault the Fowl manor, recapture Holly and try to kill Artemis and his assistants Butler and Juliet.

Skellig

Skellig is about a boy called micheal who is moving house and he really dosent like his house, he meats  a girl called mina and they become good friends he shows her something he found in his garage. SKELLIG!!!!
they try to help him and they give him take away food (27 and 53) to be precise but theres another problem on his mind, his sister has just been born and is very ill she will need a miracle to save her.

Skellig is a very interesting book and could be slightly spook !!! It's about a young boy, Michael who moves house and finds a strange man in his garden shed. He meets a girl called Mina who is his next door neighbour and they become very good friends. Skellig  has arthritis and looks like he is going to die any second . In the end Michael and Mina  find out that Skellig has wings and they  help him get better and by the end skellig can fly again !!!!! It's a great book and I would put it about 8/10.F.A

Skellig is a great book about a man who's been living in someones garage for years and quietly suffered with arthuritus. Michael, a young boy who's just moved in, finds him sitting in the corner with mice and spiders crawling all over him, him and his neighbour Mina help bring him out and  dicsovered he had wings and can fly around, while his sister was being born, it was stressful enough without everyone knowing ther was a flying beast in there garage, near the end of the book skellig saves the dying baby...

Born to Run

Born to Run is a great book about a greyhound who has three differnt owners and three different names. The group of puppies was found by a young boy on his way to school in a bag in the river they had to sell all of them except the one the boy wanted.On day the dog was on a run with the boy then the greyhound got court by the animal control and was used as a racedog then the racedog owner had a daughter who ran away with the dog and her horse the last owner was a old man who sold baked potatos he lived with him fr the rest of the dogs life.
