Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire

Harry Potter and the goblet of fire is the 4th book in the 7 book series. In Harry, Ron and Hermione's 4th year at Hogwarts, the tri-wizard cup comes to Hogwarts. At the beginning of the book Harry is invited to the Quidditch World Cup with the Weasleys. But after the final the deatheaters (Voldermort's followers) run riot over the campsites and conjure the dark mark (Voldermort's sign of a muggle being killed). But the mark had'nt been seen for thirteen years. When Harry, Ron and Hermione get to Hogwarts they find out that Hogwarts is hosting the tri-wizard cup. Three schools compete in the tri-wizard cup Hogwarts, Durmstrang and Beauxbatons. Only one student form each school can compete in the competion, and the student has to be 17 or over. To be entered in the competion you have to put your name into the Goblet Of Fire that chooses the contestents form each school. At Hogwarts there is a new teacher called Professor Moody.
  After a week of names being put into the Goblet Of Fire, the three contestantes had been chosen. But then Harry as shocked as every one else had been chosen for the competion, although he had'nt put his name in to the Goblet of Fire.  After this Harry and Ron don't speak to each other. The competion consisted of three events. In the first event the 4 contestents had to beat a dragon to collect a golden egg. Harry collects his egg on his Fireblot (broomstick). But when he opens his egg a few hours later it screams very loudly.In the second event the 4 contestents have to find something that they cherish at the bottom of the lake at  Hogwarts. Harry scores top marks in this event by rescueing Ron and the contestant form Beauxbatons' sister. By the end of this event Harry is tied for 1st place. By this stage Harry and Ron start speaking to each other again. In the third event the 4 contestants have to navigate there way though a massive maze to find the tri-wizard cup. Harry and Cedric (the other contestant form Hogwarts) find the cup and then find out that the cup is a portkey. The cup takes Harry and Cedric to the graveyard' of the Riddle family where they find themselves in the cruel grasp of Voldermort. Cedric gets murdered by Voldermort. Harry and Voldermort have a duel and Harry ends up takeing Cedric back to his father at Hogwarts with the cup. After the whole year at Hogwarts Harry finds out that Professor Moody has been trying to kill him. But Professor Moody isn't actual Professor Moody, but he is actual a deatheater who was trying to kill Harry for Voldermort. I thought that this was a great book and would recomed it to people who like Fantasy and action packed books. I would rate this book 10/10.CJC
