'Riding Tycho'Is a good book for some. I didn't really enjoy it. What happens is a girl called Demetria and her mum have this man come live in their shed. A guard checks on him every morning and night. Tycho means the sea will come in once a year and give them all bark and wood to keep them warm.
I would only give this book 3/10 because it was boring C.H

Stolen
This is a book written in the form of a letter, but more like a diary, of a girl called Gemma who lives a normal life in London as a teenager. The letter is to her kidnapper, called Ty.
Ty steals Gemma from an airport and takes her to sand and heat, dirt and danger; Australia, a place she is completely not used to. This totally changes Gemma's life, but not all in a bad way. The more she gets used to the desert and nothingness, the more she likes it. Ty doesn't treat Gemma like a kidnapper would. He treats her with care; but the longer they stay together, the stronger their relationship gets and they become good friends. Gemma learns so many new things she never would have learnt if she had been kept in London for all her young life. Gemma probably experienced the most amazing time of her life. But does she ever get back to her family or does she give them up for this new life?
I really liked this book, I thought it was very interesting. I also liked it because the story sounds quite bad and horrible but really it's a happy story.
I would give it a 8/10

He opens them to find that his mum had been writing to him, BUT SHE WAS DEAD??? dun dun dunnnnnnnnnnn......... he followed the address on the envelope to find his mother in the same house as Mr. Shears...huh?. She had had an affair; she wasn't dead at all. She decided to move out of living with Mr. Shears and move back to Ed, his dad. at first, they weren't the best of friends but they get better. It ends with Ed buying Christopher a pet dog to replace Toby, his rat.

How I Live Now - Meg Rosoff
This book is about 15 year old Daisy (her real name is Elizabeth but she hates it) who is sent from New York's upper west side (because she won't eat anything because her friend says Daisy's stepmother is poisoning her food) to stay with her English aunt and cousins, 3 boys around her age (Osbert and the twins Isaac and Edmond) and the little 9 year old Piper.
Then a war starts up in England and at the same time her aunt has to go away to Oslo so the 4 children are left alone with some money for food...
I didn't really like this book because it was really confusing, I would recommend this book to girls more than boys and I would give it a 5/10

The Escape by Robert Muchamore
The Escape is the first book in the Henderson's Boys series. The Escape is split into two different parts the first part is all about a French orphan who runs away from his horrible orphanage and finds an empty house belonging to a Mr Charles Henderson and the second part is the story of the Clarke family Rosie, Paul and their father. Each chapter switches between these two stories then near the end they merge together as all the characters find each other.
The Henderson's Boys series is based in 1940 in the Second World War. The orphan, Marc, thinks he's living the life in this empty house, but little did he know that the true owner is an English spy. Then Rosie and Paul Clarke have a slight problem though (well its not a slight problem its a really big problem.) Read the book to find out. They must find Henderson. The fate of the war depends on it.
Great book. I really enjoyed it 9\10.

The Road Of Bones
'The Road of Bones' is a book about a boy called Yuri. He lives in a country where people vanish. No one hears anything, no one sees anything, and no one ever comes back. To make things worse, his family and everyone around him lives in a life full of poverty and misery and the government only punish people who protest. When Yuri is 12, he and his classmates are sent to work. They are too clever and the teachers have run out of things to teach them. Yuri is made to work as a bricklayer. But one day when Yuri and his friends are having lunch, Yuri opens his mouth and says a few careless words, which later on are going to cost him his life.
I would give this book a 4/10 because it takes quite a long time until it gets interesting, and its not the kind of book I would normally read. DH

They embark on a big adventure and meet new Gods and Goddesses. If they don't get to Set in the last Demon Day, then the world will end. Will they defeat Set and save the world?
This is a great book, I would rate it 10/10 and is the best book I've read.

Noughts & Crosses
'Noughts & Crosses' is an exciting book about a boy called Callum and a girl called Sephy. Callum is a nought (white) and sephy is a cross(black) . The crosses are the wealthy and they are in power of the noughts. Callum is about two years behind Sephy in years but they have been best friends since Callum's mum worked for Sephy's family. But everything changed when Callum managed to get into the same school as Sephy. They get in trouble because they are a different race, but there are only four noughts at this school! But when a bomb goes off in the shopping mall, was Callum's dad part of the bombing? Will Callum and Sephy be caught together and will there be a horrible end to one of them?
This was not the best book I have ever read but not the worst! It is a bit too gruesome for me, but I think all the boys in the year should read it. I would give this book a 5/10! By
