This book is about a boy called William and he is an orphan.
He lives at an abbey and is looked after by lots of monks who also live there. One day William finds a 'hob' in the forest , it is injured so he takes it back to the abbey. The hob won't tell William his name so he calls him Brother Walter.
What William doen't know is that because he can see Brother Walter he has 'the sight'.
One day a man and his servant arrive at the abbey , the man in called Jacobus Bone and his servant is called Shadlok.
Jacobus and Shadlok are very secretive, they won't eat the abbey's food and Mister Bone never shows his face, one day Shadlok asks Will to come with them to the forest.
What William wants to know is who are these people? Why are they here, and what do they want with Willam?...... I would give this book a 7/10
